Shading and sun protection in one

In contrast to other façade projects, Soltis 86 from Serge Ferrari was used as the fabric, i.e. a material that is primarily suitable for sun protection but can be used safely due to the surfaces to be covered. This fabric was chosen because we have a hybrid facade here, in which some windows are spanned, but the three large windows are equipped with a movable shading solution (our facade fabric would be too stiff for such a roller blind system), which gives the building a “monolithic” closed form when closed, but also allows more light to enter in winter in order to improve the view through the large windows.
