A digital tree in the real world was the basic idea and the realisation concept of the design collective. The Google Tree is a 3.5 metre wide and 5 metre high sculpture. The tree is a fascinating and at the same time irritating object for public spaces.
It is modelled on the zoom display of Google Earth/ Maps. The digitised tree surface consists of a net- work of triangles.
