For more than 20 years, Pascal Dombis has used computers and algorithms to produce a constant repetition of simple processes.
In order to reproduce a geometric or typographic sign computationally, he creates destructive structures and develops irrational environments.
He uses the paradoxical side by side to produce unpredictable, unstable and dynamic visual forms, which he synthesises in digital wall drawings, lenticular pieces or video installations. He attempts to confront the human viewer with “his” own primitive irrationality through an abuse of technological processes.
